Over the last month we’ve been compiling a huge list of every literary events happening in Lancaster, York, and Harrisburg during the month of April. As you may now, April is National Poetry Month.
At the Triangle alone, we’re putting on three events: April 4th Poetry Aloud featuring Jon Sands (The Ware Center), April 5th Creative Writing Workshop (Lancaster Public Library), and April 17th Fear No Lit Poetry series featuring Michael Czarnecki (Dogstar Books).
But in addition to those, there are events happening all month, all over the south-central PA area. We’ve included every event we could find on our poster. As always, you can find all of these events on our online calendar as well.
We put together a paper calendar that you’ll see posted in local shops and venues to help promote the literary arts throughout the month. On the front is a daily calendar of events and on the back is a list of each event with all the necessary details.
Click here if you’d like the .pdf file, which can be printed or shared at your own convenience. They fold up neatly into small hand-outs.
So many thanks go to Le Hinton, the founder and editor at Iris G. Press for supporting us in this project. His new book of poetry, The Language of Moisture and Light, will be available next month. We were also very excited to find out that Le’s poem “No Doubt About It (I Gotta Get Another Hat)” is being published in the 2014 Best American Poetry series!
This April is going to be an excellent month for literature. We hope to see you at some of these events!
