Improve your craft with community-based writing workshops from The Triangle.
About the Workshops
The Triangle Community Writers’ Workshop is an effort to provide opportunities for working writers in South Central Pennsylvania to receive regular peer and instructor feedback, get exposed to the work of other writers, and, of course, develop their own writing chops.
Our courses are open to writers of various levels, from beginning writers, to published authors, and MFA graduates who miss the structure and community of a workshop setting. We describe our workshops as “MFA-style”—meaning they are accessible and friendly, yet rigorous—without the huge financial or multi-year time commitment of a typical MFA program.
Expect to read from contemporary and modern writers. Expect discussions of various formal, technical problems within and across genre. Expect to give thoughtful feedback to your fellow writers. Expect opportunities to generate new work and be held accountable for meaningful revision. Expect to be stretched and challenged and encouraged.
Workshops consist of ten sessions taking place in Lancaster, PA on regular weeknights from early September through early December.
